Today we will show you where to go shopping in the big apple! If you have been in New York City before, you probably recognized that there are a lot, and we really mean A LOT, of shopping opportunities!
If you can’t decide where the best place for your personal preferences will be, let us help you! From super fancy Louis Vuitton, to Nike, to more affordable shopping opportunities, we have it all for you. Sometimes they are not located far apart from each other, so you can just have a look at everything in one fell swoop.
Starting off, the most famous shopping street in New York City: Fifth Avenue! 5th Avenue stretches through Manhattan from North to South, and the best shopping zone is from 14th to 59th Street. It is well known for its luxury boutiques and department stores. Stores like Apple, Gucci, Michael Kors, H&M, Prada and many more are located along Fifth Avenue. A lot to see and to shop for in every budget!
Next up is Broadway, it is not only famous for its theaters, but also it is the longest street in Manhattan. You will find a huge variety of shops here, just like on Fifth Avenue. In Lower Manhattan for example, you will find more famous names like Bloomingdales or Victoria Secret.
If we look at Times Square, you will realize that it’s actually not a street but an area encompassing several city blocks. Nevertheless, it is a great opportunity to go out for shopping. You will find stores like Sephora, a Disney Store, and the M&M store. Also, you’ll never have to stay hungry, you will find food trucks and restaurants literally every 50 meters.
New York does not only have shopping streets, but also large shopping malls like the Time Warner Center near Columbus Circle. It features luxury stores like Hugo Boss, Swarovski, Coach and many more.
For all the bargain hunters, this is the real deal for you! The Woodbury Common Premium Outlet. It is a designer outlet, where you can really get some low prices. Even though you will find some good deals, be prepared to pay a fair price, as the clothes are still from brands like Burberry, Gucci or Ralph Lauren.
Last but not least, our beloved Macy’s. Located at the Herald Square, covering an entire block, it is the flagship of the Macy’s stores. Here you can nearly find everything! Just go there and experience it on your own.
