220 Central Park South is another signature project by master architect Robert A.M. Stern, developed by Vornado Realty Trust. The Building, at 66 stories, offers grand views of Central Park. The luxury residential condominium includes an 18-story building called "The Villa" that introduces Central Park alongside other comparably sized buildings. At the rear of the Villa is the 950-foot Tower, which will bring a total of 118 units to the high-end market.
The architects also envisioned an amenities floor for all needs of the residents. Amenities include: Conservatory, Library, Motor court, Doorman, Elevator, Concierge, Gym, Laundry.
Stern's office collaborates with the executive architects of SLCE, the interior designer in the office of Thierry W. Despont and the structural engineers of DeSimone Engineers. Limestone envelops all four sides of the building, even over a concrete wall along the south side of the tower.
